About The Position

Under general supervision, responsible for preparation of moderate to complex accounting and analysis in a managed care and housing/HUD environment. Prepares journal entries and financial statements for all entities of the agency and analytical reports pertaining to the agency’s finances, programs, and budgets. The position requires adherence to GAAP and application of accounting principles, advanced analytical and interpersonal communication skills.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in accounting, finance, or related field plus four (4) years of accountant experience which includes financial analysis experience, or combination of education and recent relevant experience equivalent to eight (8) years as an accountant with financial analysis experience.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word and general ledger software.
  • Experience in financial analysis and report development.
  • Experience in all aspects of accounting, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial reporting.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to operate personal computer and telephonic communications equipment.
  • Ability to read the screen of a personal computer monitor.
  • Ability to read handwritten and printed documents and records.
  • Ability to perform analysis of information.
  • Ability to move around an office environment.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
