About The Position

This opportunity is in the Accounting & Finance Department. Our Accounting & Finance Department is dynamic and collaborative. As an Accountant II, Financial Reporting, you will play an important role in supporting the preparation and analysis of financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders. You will execute journal entries, prepare analytical reports, and assist in the month-end close process across multiple accounting bases, including Statutory (STAT), GAAP, and IFRS. In this role, you will contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and board presentations while collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the accounting department. You will also have the opportunity to research accounting principles and industry developments, assist with annual budgeting activities, support system enhancements and testing efforts, and coordinate with internal and external auditors. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, managing multiple priorities, and continuing to grow their technical accounting expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, business management, business administration or a related field is required.
  • 1 or more years of relevant accounting experience in accounting or the insurance industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and complete responsibilities within established deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to learn new systems and technologies
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Nice To Haves
