Requirements

  • Apply the principles of accounting in order to prepare timely and accurate journal entries, financial dahsboards, account analysis, reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, and reports in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures, US GAAP and related internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statement monthly analysis of Profit & Loss in order to provide applicable budget vs. actual variance explanations in accordance to Transocean procedures.
  • Reconcile and analyze balance sheet based on assigned accounts, entities and cost centers.
  • Assist department heads with the preparation and finalization of quarterly forecast and annual budget.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly schedules for the financial reporting group (Green books and Analytics).
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all relevant journal entries with supporting documentation as required in order to comply with internal SOX and Audit controls.
  • General accounting tasks such as cost allocations, centralized provisions, amortizations, billing, etc.
  • Maintain communication with department heads as required in order to satisfy and support the functional management in their financial responsibilities.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Adhoc requests and analysis as required by supervisor and functional heads.
