About The Position

The mission, purpose and value added for this position is to record, verify, summarize and evaluate financial and statistical information for local and corporate management. This position will provide timely and accurate financial information to management helping to meet department’s operational goals and core aims.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
Strong computer skills, with proficiency using standard spreadsheet applications.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice To Haves

1-3 years of experience in cost accounting or industrial accounting preferred.
Previous SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates strong safety culture through personal behavior and commitment to environmental, health & safety.
Participates in the PACE & Safe Start culture of safety.
Perform all job duties in a safe manner to prevent accident or injury.
Perform detailed Accounting/Finance tasks associated with monthly plant close.
Assist with the preparation of monthly production statistical reports.
Assist with the preparation of monthly internal management reports, including variance analysis and commentary.
Assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts.
Assist with the preparation of annual line item detailed budget.
Assist in a review of balance sheet accounts.
Assist in the AP process as needed, including coding of miscellaneous invoices.
Monitor and enforce Company’s internal controls to ensure assets are safeguarded.
Provide support and documentation for internal and external audits as necessary.
Work with Operations to ensure transactions are recorded in a timely manner.
Prepare studies, evaluations and reports as requested by local and Corporate management.
