About The Position

The Accountant position is an entry level position perfect for a recent college graduate. The Accountant will be a key member of the Corporate Accounting team based out of corporate headquarters. As an Accountant you will have assigned responsibilities that are essential to our month end close process and ensuring accurate financial reporting across our North American businesses. This role will also provide support to other Accounting team members and department functions. Open to hybrid work schedules. One to three days in office. Hours: 8a-4:30p with a 30 min lunch. Reporting to the Malta office: 2111 Ellsworth Blvd., Malta, NY 12020

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Accounting

Nice To Haves

1 year of Accounting experience or internship
Experience with Intuit QuickBooks

Responsibilities

Completing monthly adjusting journal entries in conjunction with the month end accounting process
Completing monthly work in progress analysis and revenue recognition calculations
Assisting with monthly, quarterly and annual closings for multiple entities and lines of business
Preparing month end balance sheet reconciliations
Completing various accounts receivable functions including posting vendor invoices to financial system and receiving proper approvals from business
Completing various accounts payable functions including posting vendor invoices to financial system and receiving proper approvals from business
Completing job costing entries for weekly/monthly expenses
Developing and successfully implementing process improvement initiatives and automation to create efficiency within Accounting functions
Regularly communicating with team members, and any other stakeholders in the process, regarding project status and any issues that arise; provide suggested solutions, as applicable
Assisting with data collection and analysis in support of ongoing accounting related projects aimed to improve accuracy of accounting data
