About The Position

The Staff Accountant – Fixed Assets is responsible for the accurate accounting, tracking, and reporting of the company’s fixed assets. This role ensures compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies while supporting month end close, and capital project reporting. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of Fixed Asset accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicable accounting and finance systems.
• Detail oriented, proficient in time management, able to multitask and ability to prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Capital Projects and work with project managers to ensure timely capitalization.
• Support month end, quarter end, and year end close processes.
• Prepare and complete general ledger processes, including posting monthly journal entries and adjustments.
• Record fixed asset transactions such as additions, transfers, and disposals for capital assets in SAP in accordance with Company policies.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of Fixed Asset Accounts.
• Perform routine Fixed Asset observations and ensure proper asset records, including identification of disposals.
• Maintain Company compliance and reporting standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
