About The Position

Provide high-quality financial support and expertise to a mid-sized nonprofit behavioral health agency. Our finance team is instrumental in ensuring that program and agency leaders have the financial tools available to ensure data-driven planning and decision-making. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, financial reporting, funder and grant expense tracking, account reconciliations, financial analysis, billings for reimbursement from contractual agencies/funding sources, timely external reports for our diverse funders, budgets for funders, funder financial reviews, assist in month end close, journal entries, financial statements, and assist with annual financial statement audit and annual budgeting process. Responsible for supporting 2-3 program directors for all their financial needs, including facilitating their monthly meetings. This position also partners with other accountants, financial managers, and the CFO in implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. Position has potential for internal growth and advancement. It is also eligible for remote, in-person, or hybrid work.

Requirements

  • Michigan resident
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet strict external deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Experience with high-volume data using analysis tools preferred
