About The Position

BizTek People is in search for Accountant – Branch Financial Accounting for our client in NYC! This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative corporate accounting environment. We are seeking an entry-level Accountant to support the Branch Financial Accounting team with financial reporting and general ledger close activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 0–2 years of accounting or finance experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (basic formulas and PivotTables preferred)
• Ability to quickly learn ERP systems
• Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills
• Excellent communication and written documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team

Nice To Haves

• Experience with financial reconciliations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close processes and general ledger activities
• Gather, reconcile, and validate financial data
• Prepare monthly balance sheet analyses and account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and related reporting
• Prepare quarterly financial reports and support data inquiries
• Perform intercompany account analysis and resolve reconciliation differences with cross-functional teams
• Assist with internal and external audit requests, including SOX compliance support
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
