$200,000 - $225,000Onsite

About The Position

The Accountable Manager serves as the single point of accountability for the FAA Part 145 Certificate held at FlyHouse Management’s Camarillo (KCMA) facility. This individual is the designated primary interface with the FAA Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) and bears full regulatory responsibility for the station’s compliance posture, quality system, and airworthiness standards. Beyond regulatory duties, this role leads all day-to-day MRO operations at CMA — encompassing workforce development, customer experience, financial performance, and strategic team growth — in alignment with FlyHouse’s broader network objectives. This is simultaneously an operational leadership role and a compliance leadership role. The right candidate brings deep business jet MRO experience on Gulfstream and Citation platforms, a demonstrated track record of building and scaling technician teams in a Part 145 environment, and the regulatory credibility to represent FlyHouse to the FAA and to aircraft owners who trust us with their assets.

Requirements

  • FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience is required — candidates must have direct, hands-on operational experience within a Part 145 regulatory environment.
  • Named Accountable Manager or Repair Station Manager (RSM) experience strongly preferred; must be prepared to serve as the named Accountable Manager at KCMA upon hire.
  • Aircraft type experience required: Gulfstream (G-IV series through G650) and/or Cessna Citation family (CJ through Longitude); at least one additional business jet platform required (Challenger, Phenom/Praetor, Hawker, Falcon, or equivalent).

  • Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or management role over A&P technicians; demonstrated experience building and scaling a technician team of 15 or more strongly preferred.
  • Experience building and leading MRO business required
  • Business P/L and budgetary experience required
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required; Inspection Authorization (IA) is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated P&L accountability; comfortable reading and managing to financial statements and operational KPIs.
  • Proficiency with electronic maintenance tracking systems — CORRIDOR, CAMP, or equivalent MRO software required.
  • Strong working knowledge of approved data: AMM, IPC, SRM, AD compliance, manufacturer SBs, and FAA Advisory Circulars.
  • Full-time, on-site presence at the Camarillo (KCMA) facility is required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — equally effective with FAA inspectors, aircraft owners, front-line technicians, and FlyHouse executive leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal leadership: earns technician trust through presence and transparency while holding the team accountable to standards.
  • High integrity and sound regulatory judgment; capable of making difficult compliance and operational decisions under pressure.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities across regulatory compliance, production operations, and people leadership simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace; comfortable with MRO/maintenance tracking platforms.
  • Genuine passion for business aviation and a personal commitment to the mechanic-first values of the FlyHouse network.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by air up to 20%; may include visits to FlyHouse network sites in Van Nuys.
