About The Position

INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency located in sunny Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a freelance Account Supervisor to join our CRM team. This is a contract role from 8/3-11/9/26. We are a hybrid workplace, x3 days per week in-office. Candidates must be local to SoCal. The CRM Account Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day management of CRM initiatives while serving as a trusted strategic partner to the client. This role oversees integrated CRM campaigns from planning through execution, manages agency resources, mentors junior team members, and ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client objectives. The Account Supervisor plays a critical leadership role by driving operational excellence, maintaining strong client relationships, managing financial performance, and identifying opportunities to evolve CRM programs through strategic recommendations and continuous optimization.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of advertising agency experience.
  • CRM marketing experience required.
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring account teams.
  • Strong understanding of CRM strategy, customer lifecycle marketing, audience segmentation, and personalization.
  • Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns across email, direct mail, SMS, digital, and customer journeys.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing client budgets, accruals, billing, forecasting, estimates and reconciliations.
  • Experience managing Statements of Work (SOWs), scope changes, and resource planning.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence senior client stakeholders and lead strategic conversations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar CRM platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client lead across assigned CRM workstreams.
  • Build trusted client relationships while providing strategic recommendations that support business and marketing objectives.
  • Partner with Account Directors to develop annual CRM roadmaps, campaign strategies, testing plans, and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Lead client meetings, status calls, and presentations while ensuring clear communication and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Translate client objectives into actionable agency deliverables.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities, proactively recommending solutions.
  • Develop presentation materials, executive summaries, POVs, and strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the client's business, competitive landscape, CRM ecosystem, and customer journey.
  • Supervise and mentor junior members, providing coaching, career development, and regular performance feedback.
  • Delegate work appropriately while balancing workloads across the team.
  • Foster collaboration across Creative, Strategy, Analytics, Production, Operations, Media, and Technology teams.
  • Ensure junior team members follow agency processes and maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Lead internal status meetings and project reviews to ensure teams remain aligned.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee execution of CRM campaigns including email, direct mail, SMS, digital experiences, lifecycle programs, and other customer engagement initiatives.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects from planning through deployment.
  • Ensure campaign requirements, creative briefs, specifications, timelines, QA, and approvals are completed accurately.
  • Collaborate with Strategy and Analytics teams to translate campaign insights into future recommendations.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet agency quality standards before client review.
  • Manage cross-functional project schedules while identifying and resolving potential delivery risks.
  • Continuously improve operational processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Own campaign budgets from planning through reconciliation.
  • Manage annual and campaign-level budgets while ensuring projects remain within approved financial parameters.
  • Prepare monthly budget trackers, forecasts, and accrual reports.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate billing and month-end accrual reporting.
  • Identify scope changes and proactively manage change requests with clients.
  • Support Account Directors with annual planning, SOW development, contract management, and financial forecasting.
  • Ensure agency processes and CRM best practices are followed across all workstreams.
  • Lead development of project plans, timelines, documentation, and campaign workflows.
  • Maintain clear project documentation and communication across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Improve team efficiency through process enhancements and operational best practices.
  • Manage project prioritization across multiple client initiatives.
  • Review campaign performance and translate results into actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with Analytics teams to evaluate KPIs and customer engagement trends.
  • Identify optimization opportunities through testing, personalization, segmentation, automation, and customer insights.
  • Present campaign learnings and strategic recommendations to clients.
