Account Specialists at IMA are the backbone of a highly collaborate and dynamic service team. They support and demonstrate IMA’s core values, valuing and understanding the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates. This role provides essential support to the Account Manager & Account Executive on large and complex client accounts by preparing coverage comparisons, submissions, and premium & rate comparisons. They also process audits on expired and/or non-renewed policies and handle other special requests. The Account Specialist interacts with clients (written or verbal) regarding special program needs and new assignments, understanding and delivering on unique client expectations within their book of business. They are responsible for problem-solving and suggesting proactive solutions to the AM and AE, and for loss analysis and related tasks such as invoicing, trending, tracking, and reconciliation. Additionally, they manage assigned special client needs like allocation spreadsheets and control industry-specific reporting. They review certificate of insurance requests and provide direction to the COE, and handle other general tasks including endorsement processing & billing, reviewing notice of cancellations, analysis of loss data within Experience Mods, deductible analysis, and participation in internal review meetings. The role requires the ability to work independently and lead project special assignments, supporting special client projects as needed.
