About The Position

Reporting to Senior Key Account Specialist, the Account Specialist is the primary business contact between Producer partners and Circular Materials. This role focuses on supporting Producers as they file their Extended Producer Responsibility/individual producer reports in time for their reporting deadline. As the main point of contact between Producers and Circular Materials you will interact with stakeholders daily (including a small portfolio of dedicated accounts), facilitating timely and accurate producer reporting while providing high-quality service. This role manages more complex processes including but not limited to report validations and report adjustments. Our team supports Producers across the country, requiring staggered shift schedules to support accounts across multiple time zones. Full standard service coverage spans between 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM EST. This is a salaried paid contract ending February 27, 2027, and requires residency in Canada.

Requirements

  • Post secondary education/Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Business Administration or Customer Service Management. An equivalent combination of education, and account management experiences may be considered.
  • 2+ years of progressive customer service and account management experience is required.
  • Knowledge of CRM, managing customer behaviour and conflicts, building customer relationships.
  • Experience with client relationship building, in a call centre or in a similar office environment.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills while addressing large data sets.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills- verbal and written.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfortable learning new online tools.
  • Dedicated attention to detail and accuracy; accountable and able to handle a portfolio of accounts.
  • Strong research capabilities and documentation skills.
  • Interest in environmental issues and how businesses contribute to good environmental performance.
  • Flexible, adapting to new and changing tasks and can multi-task in a fast-paced and changing work environment while consistently demonstrating strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a strong understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and the ability to communicate and apply AI technologies effectively within a business context.
  • Bilingualism is an asset for this role (professional level French and English).
  • Working knowledge of SAP S4H is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Build and foster relationships strong and trusting relationships with Producers by providing customizable and exemplary service, via managing communications, education, recruitment and onboarding.
  • Analyze submitted Producer supply data reports, interpret numerical data, detecting anomalies, to ensure reporting accuracy. Critical thinking is required.

  • Oversee and understand life life cycle of reporting; preparation and methodology, understanding obligation and designated materials, report submission, report review, fixing report errors, explaining invoices.
  • Communicate policies, rules, contractual requirements, legislation, and regulations pertaining to the reporting of material tonnages and payment of fees.
