The Account Specialist II partners closely with Producers, Account Managers, and internal service teams to support Construction Specialty Group accounts. This role plays a key part in delivering high‑quality service while developing deeper technical and industry knowledge.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook; basic PowerPoint)
Nice To Haves
- 2- or 4-year degree preferred
- Prior insurance industry experience preferred
- At least one year of customer service experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and process-driven work
- Professional, confidential, and client-focused
- Self-motivated with a growth mindset and desire to continue developing within TrueNorth
Responsibilities
- Provide consistent, timely, and accurate service to internal and external clients
- Receive and respond to client and prospect inquiries; assist with quoting coverages when applicable
- Create and distribute certificates of insurance and other policy documentation
- Follow up on incomplete applications and change requests
- Support new business and renewal processes, including preparation of renewal materials
- Assist with policy delivery and meet established turnaround expectations
- Coordinate invoicing and support resolution of account discrepancies
- Attend internal meetings, client meetings, and market discussions as needed
- Manage deadlines and organize work to ensure accuracy and completion
- Continue to build industry knowledge through training, CE, and expanded responsibilities
- Support department projects and other duties as assigned
