The UPMC Center for Emergency Medicine, Ambulance and Chair is looking to hire a Full-Time Account Representative to support our Administration and Billing departments. This role is responsible for managing all fiscal functions to ensure prompt and correct payment to the hospital from insurers and patients. The Account Representative will ensure claims are submitted accurately and timely, communicate with insurance companies, patients, and physicians regarding payment issues, establish reasonable payment arrangements, and recommend adjustments according to UPMC policies. This position also involves reviewing the posting and balancing of payment/denial and adjustment transactions for account closing and identifying and assigning appropriate status codes.
