Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6-9 years of diverse business experience, either internally or externally.
  • Emphasis in customer service and sales.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Technical and financial aptitude.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong relationship building, sales, and negotiation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop, and maintain professional relationships with key managers and decision makers of assigned customer accounts.
  • Leverage internal and external relationships to develop business plans that meet customer needs regarding service delivery, billing, and credit issues.
  • Perform account management tasks, including creation of Business Plans, development of critical facility information, monitoring billing/credit issues, securing load response commitments, processing new business requests, responding to reliability issues, providing outage management information, and maintaining accounts in the Customer Relationship Management database.
  • Be available for after-hour duty responsibilities.
  • Provide open communication with customers concerning rate changes, Customer Choice, Energy Efficiency Programs, and emergency response to drive and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Diligently promote the sale of Exelon products and services and encourage customer participation in Exelon load management programs.
  • Perform account management tasks such as contract management, handling billing/credit issues, after-hour duty responsibilities, and regular use of the Customer Relationship Management database.
  • Act as a single point of contact for Large Commercial and Industrial customers to improve customer satisfaction, coordinating work across departments for service installations, contract execution, and restoration/analysis of interrupted service, including 24/7 on-call accessibility.
  • Establish and develop strong professional relationships with decision makers and key managers of assigned accounts to implement customer load management strategies that benefit the company by providing curtailment during peak load periods.
  • Create Key Account Business Plans and develop critical customer facility information to maintain records of customer information and business overview, gathering relevant information regarding service issues, equipment overview, on-site generation, etc.
  • Effectively manage outstanding customer debt with the timely resolution of billing and credit issues, proactively establishing customer payment procedures to minimize bad debt exposure and maximize company margin.
  • Communicate company policies and procedures to customers regarding rates and riders, including changes and additions that could impact customer energy management and purchasing.
  • Input and maintain specific and pertinent customer information utilizing the Customer Relationship Management database for gathering intelligence on customer operations.
