About The Position

Penske’s Brokerage division is looking for an Account Representative to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is self-motivated, has strong customer service and computer skills, strong attention to detail and is enthusiastic to work in a constantly evolving environment. This position coordinates all processes and functions of load planning and freight movement.

Responsibilities

Process customer orders, plan & optimize shipments into loads, tender freight to third-party carriers
Update Transportation Management System/Mercury Gate with current shipment information.
Provide visibility to management and the customer by tracking, process over-sight, auditing, researching and troubleshooting operational issues or functions.
Complete daily logs and trackers
Weighs alternative financial decisions before taking action
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Monitor appointment times, transit times, and other load details to anticipate potential challenges that could affect rates, service levels, or capacity.
Identify if timing or scheduling constraints could increase costs or lead to service challenges. Engage Senior Account Manager or Senior Operations Manager to adjust plans as needed to avoid rejected or unserviceable loads.
Maintain accurate load details, customer communications, and updates to ensure all records are complete and accessible.
Organize all shipment documents to ensure easy access for tracking, reporting, and necessary adjustments.
Daily checks of scorecards to ensure information is input timely.
