About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation, a global leader in lift truck manufacturing, is seeking an Account Representative for Dock and Door Outside Sales. This role is responsible for driving sales of dock and door equipment, parts, and services within a designated territory. The position involves developing existing accounts, acquiring new business, analyzing opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and providing solutions to enhance the company's market position. The Account Representative will also develop territory management plans, sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts, conduct product demonstrations, and prepare quotations. Maintaining accurate sales records and collaborating with the Sales Manager are key aspects of the role. Continuous participation in training programs is expected to improve product knowledge and sales skills, which may involve travel to the Northern Kentucky branch.

Requirements

  • Less than 2 years related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to safely operate lift trucks for product demos.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States. Crown will not provide sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Maximizing the sale of dock and door equipment and parts & service for dock & door within a specified territory to meet sales objectives.
  • Develop existing accounts & seek new business.
  • Analyze opportunities, identify key personnel, & develop strong business relationships.
  • Consult & problem solve to enhance the Company’s position in existing & target accounts.
  • Develop a territory management plan to maximize time with customers.
  • Develop sales strategies, proposals, & forecasts.
  • Develop & conduct product demonstrations & sales presentations.
  • Prepare quotations & customer correspondence.
  • Utilize online resources to maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer files, & sales activity information.
  • Discuss sales activities with Sales Manager.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs and meetings to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Travel to Northern Kentucky branch may be required for training.
