About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation, a global leader in material handling equipment, is seeking an Account Representative for Dock and Door Outside Sales. This role is responsible for maximizing the sale of dock and door equipment and parts & service within a specified territory. The position involves developing existing accounts and seeking new business by analyzing opportunities, identifying key personnel, and building strong business relationships. The representative will consult and problem-solve to enhance the Company's position in existing and target accounts, develop territory management plans, and create sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts. Responsibilities also include conducting product demonstrations and sales presentations, preparing quotations, maintaining accurate sales records, and participating in ongoing training programs, which may involve travel to the Northern Kentucky branch.

Requirements

  • Less than 2 years related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to safely operate lift trucks for product demos.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not provided.

  • Intermediate computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize the sale of dock and door equipment and parts & service within a specified territory to meet sales objectives.
  • Develop existing accounts and seek new business.
  • Analyze opportunities, identify key personnel, and develop strong business relationships.
  • Consult and problem-solve to enhance the Company’s position in existing & target accounts.
  • Develop a territory management plan to maximize time with customers.
  • Develop sales strategies, proposals, & forecasts.
  • Develop & conduct product demonstrations & sales presentations.
  • Prepare quotations & customer correspondence.
  • Utilize online resources to maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer files, & sales activity information.
  • Discuss sales activities with Sales Manager.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs and meetings to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
