About The Position

The Account Manager (AM) acts as the liaison between CII and its customers. This role involves maintaining positive client relationships through various communication channels, generating and delivering quotes and proposals, and negotiating contracts in compliance with QMS documentation. The AM is responsible for communicating client requirements internally, providing status updates, and participating in the scheduling of purchasing and production activities. Key responsibilities also include identifying and creating sales opportunities with existing clients, monitoring client satisfaction, mitigating risks in client projects, and prioritizing work. The Account Manager ensures timely quote delivery, coordinates the quoting process, maintains necessary records, and reports quarterly on sales activities and client interactions. They are also expected to keep client information updated.

Requirements

  • Business client support, account management or sales experience, minimum five years.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Computer proficiency: Requires a high level of proficiency in preparing spreadsheets.
  • Strong understanding of financial, quoting and forecasting principles.
  • Ability to utilize and navigate complex databases to run reports and pull information.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Ability to collaborate with others, take direction from others and to delegate as needed.
  • Ability to problem-solve and take ownership of client issues.
  • Effective time management.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Capacity to handle pressure and ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior project management experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a production environment and understanding of production processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive relationship with CII clients through phone, email and in person communication.
  • Generate and deliver quotes and proposals.
  • Negotiate and accept contracts from clients in compliance with the QMS documentation set.
  • Communicate client requirements internally.
  • Communicate status updates to client.
  • Participate in scheduling of purchasing and production activities.
  • Identify and create sales opportunities with existing client.
  • Generate and send quotations using established guidelines.
  • Contact client or potential client.
  • Send quotation to client and cc appropriate Client Services staff (seeking peer review and management approval in special cases).
  • Assign available company resources to ensure quoting completion.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and communicate this internally.
  • Proactively contact clients to identify opportunities and maintain relations.
  • Mitigate risk in client projects using established guidelines.
  • Monitor and communicate status of work to clients in a timely manner as appropriate.
  • Prioritizing client projects.
  • Responsible for delivering quotes to the client in time.
  • Coordinate completion of the quoting process.
  • Maintain records as required.
  • Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned.
  • Report quarterly on effectiveness of sales activities, logs contact list, outcome and results.
  • Keeps client information updated.
