About The Position

The Account Manager will be responsible for assisting the operational team to deliver excellent and safer performance in the cargo service functions at a high-volume international airport. This role includes managing the Company's relationship with assigned airline customers, acting as the liaison between the two, and leading problem avoidance and resolution initiatives. This job is located at Albuquerque International Airport (ABQ).

Requirements

  • Financial management skills awareness.
  • Able to communicate effectively with senior level personnel.
  • Able to work with a multinational work force, and to adjust to the local conditions of the station.
  • A working knowledge of the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement.
  • Airport Ground Handling experience at a high-volume international airport.
  • Excellent knowledge of ramp/cargo/ GSE.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates customer relationship skills, including ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees from field to corporate executives.
  • Strong Finance and Accounting Experience and Background.
  • Solid problem solving, multi-tasking abilities and experience in the handling of flight operations.
  • Computer and experience with Microsoft Office programs required.
  • High School Graduate plus, two to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Possess/Maintain a valid state Driver's License and other FAA/Airport required identifications and seals.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical and a drug test.
  • Responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
  • Prohibits misuse of alcohol and drugs and carries out regular testing to enforce our Substance Misuse Policy.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Menzies Aviation Policies and Procedures as laid down in the Eight Pillars of Management.
  • Ensure service delivery to customer airlines is according to the airline contracts and within the agreed budget level.
  • Ensure safety and security procedures are performed according to Menzies Health & Safety regulations and international aviation standards.
  • Monitor performance, taking action to correct any shortfalls.
  • Liaise with airline station managers, airport operations staff, handling agents, customs, immigration, and security officials, and other airport stakeholders.
  • Provide reports as required, and service delivery measurements.
  • Provide leadership to the management team, developing their skills.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, employee recognition, addressing issues, and ensuring employees successfully complete company's training programs.
  • Work shifts as required by the business.
  • Report any significant deficiency in products, materials, and documents.
  • Suggest any improvements to working practices, especially those relating to safety and security.
  • Follow all security procedures as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Manages employees in the Ground Handling department.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Benefits

  • Salary: $50,000 - $55,000
