About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Account Manager to drive growth and manage key relationships with our OEM and Tier customers. This role requires a balanced background: someone who can proactively identify and capture new business opportunities while also managing, nurturing, and expanding existing customer accounts. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the automotive value chain, program lifecycles, and decision-making processes within OEM ecosystems. This person will partner closely with engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on customer needs while driving strategic revenue growth and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
  • Proven success in roles requiring both new account development and strategic account management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling into Japanese and/or Korean automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
  • Technical aptitude in sensors, power electronics, thermal systems, or other automotive components/systems.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage complex program lifecycles from concept through SOP and end-of-production.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the direct sales process and achieving sales targets
  • Responsible for visits to current and potential clients
  • Leads the performing of routine account management activities
  • Submits short and long-range sales plans and prepares sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs to reach nominated targets
  • Ensures that clients receive high quality customer service
