About The Position

The objective of the Account Manager position is to maintain a healthy and profitable relationship with assigned customers by managing all aspects of the account. This includes assembling, verifying, and proofing internal/external advice to management regarding commercial events, developing and maintaining customer relationships, and developing business proposals. The role involves managing and controlling all scheduled commercial events, outstanding account issues (including non-payment, amortization agreements, and monolith reconciliations), and all aspects of pricing, quoting, negotiation, and contracts. The Account Manager is expected to maximize opportunities for profitability enhancement, meet internally with various departments (engineering, prototype, purchasing, quality, and accounting) to accurately summarize costs, and negotiate and determine price agreements. The position also requires preparing for, attending, and presenting to customers in scheduled meetings, managing quarterly and/or necessary price changes for production and aftermarket items, setting goals, agendas, and timing for all customer visits, and strategizing and forecasting current and future sales. Additionally, the incumbent must conduct all business-related activities within applicable legal requirements, provide support and ensure compliance with Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in quality, adhering to TS16949 and ISO 14001 policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (B.A.) in business related field.
  • Minimum five – seven years’ experience in customer service role.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in automotive industry.
  • Ability to travel domestically.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Ability to Negotiate and determine price agreements
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
  • Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures.
  • Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Project Management- Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.
  • Strives to continuously improve expertise, knowledge and skills.
