Our Newest Opportunity: The Account Manager is responsible for day to day management of their assigned book of business, serving our broker partners’ sales and service needs within our General Agency. The AM works closely and collaboratively with the internal service team, Benefits Consultants and/or Client Executives and other internal partners to ensure marketing, implementation and service deliverables for our ancillary lines of coverage meet and exceed client expectations. The AM serves as the clients’ main point of contact for benefit marketings, RFP status, implementations and escalated service issues.

Requirements

  • Possess strong organizational skills, including the ability to exercise independent judgement and thinking to scenarios
  • Must be very detail-oriented

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and balance competing priorities
  • 3+ years’ experience in account management or in a consultative role, required
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products; required

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity and practical knowledge of quoting process and tools; preferred
  • Experience with database applications, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and maintains assigned book of business, including but not limited to RFP activity, client implementations and escalated service topics.
  • Serves in a consulting capacity for clients in conjunction with Benefits Consultants and Client Executives on select group opportunities.
  • Manages RFP creation and marketing process, including spreadsheeting for all ancillary quotes.
  • Delegates work assignments to internal service team members as necessary, following up and coordinating outcomes for clients
  • Manages the sold case process for all assigned accounts.
  • Supports the broker in online portal and paper submissions for each carrier implementation, keeping broker up to date on status, completion and next steps.
  • Builds relationships with brokers through proactive communications.
  • Communicates and educates brokers on latest ancillary trends, concerns, and changes in the industry.
  • Advises clients in reducing costs while offering competitive benefits options
  • Assists in growing the book of business through cross-sale opportunities when available
  • Effectively and efficiently manages complex accounts and high-level service deliverables
  • Provides leadership within the extended service team and has a strong sense of ownership
