About The Position

This position is responsible for direct customer interactions and for providing sales support for the Branch Manager. The Account Manager will also have responsibility for warehouse duties including receiving, storing, packing, picking, and delivery of materials and product.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to learn new systems.
  • Ability to operate machines including, but not limited to bar code reader, computer terminal, other electronic devices, and forklift.
  • Understanding of all tools, gauges, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.
  • Proficiency with ERP system.
  • Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
  • Specific material / inventory control knowledge.
  • Valid driver’s license and proper auto insurance.
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Two plus years of relevant warehouse and/or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate knowledgeably with customers daily by phone or in person with specifics on order status, quotes, and product availability.
  • Always investigate and solicit sales of new or additional products and services to help our customer.
  • Enter sales orders in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Be responsive and responsible to provide sales data (quotes) back to customer the same day (unless special order/manufacturing is involved) 100% of the time as long as call is received by 3:00pm.
  • Process all sales confirmations and link them to the appropriate sales order or invoice.
  • Reconcile credit card receipts and invoice log daily.
  • Read backlog reports, customer orders, pick tickets, and packing slips to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Receive purchase orders and transfer orders.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing/shipping station.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Weigh or count items for distribution as necessary or required by requisition or orders.
  • Use ERP system and shipping infrastructure as necessary to complete shipping process.
  • Fulfill will call orders.
  • Delivery orders locally when needed.
  • Ensure the safe operation of equipment.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Keep warehouse and surrounding areas clean and organized.
  • Adhere to all company standards and policies.
  • Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
