About The Position

Your challenges Do you enjoy talking with people and making things happen? Do you want to spend your time with customers instead of in a cubicle or lab? Do you want to start or further your career in sales with a successful company? Due to an upcoming retirement, we are hiring an outside sales representative to cover our Atlanta-based sales territory. This territory includes Georgia, Alabama, and Eastern Tennessee. While the territory is geographically large, most of your time will be spent in Atlanta, Athens, Nashville, and Birmingham. Primary responsibility is to promote the sale of our products within assigned territory in order to achieve sales goals. Although we have an extensive established customer base in this territory, both serving existing customers and finding new customers is an essential part of this position. Demonstrate products to end user customers in their laboratories and virtually. Distribute literature to customers and potential customers. Maintain and grow customer list in CRM. Live within 30 minutes of Atlanta. 25% overnight travel is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree - preferably in the life sciences, lab experience is a plus.
  • One or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Interest / aptitude to sell products to life science researchers.
  • Customer Service Attitude - desire to go the extra mile for the customer.
  • Self-motivated - strong desire to succeed is essential.
  • Valid driver’s license required and good driving record.
