As an Account Manager, you will manage a portfolio of industrial clients, ensuring they have the right pumping and control solutions to keep their operations running efficiently. You will navigate the intersection of technical sales and relationship management, moving comfortably between the field and the office.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or work equivalent.
  • Relevant business experience & product knowledge (drilling, oil and gas production).
  • MS Office skills (Excel and Word) and SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Oral and written communication skills, presentation, marketing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to initiate and adapt to change, and work as part of small and large teams.
  • Experience: 3-5+ years in technical sales or account management, preferably within the pump, rotating equipment, or electrical control industries.
  • Technical Aptitude: A strong understanding of VFDs, motor controls, and hydraulic systems (H Pumps/Centrifugal).
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex technical specifications into clear business value for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Driver: Willingness to travel to client sites for hands-on assessments and meetings. Must have current, valid driver’s license and acceptable record at all times.
  • Must be able to physically lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity, positive and assertive attitude.
  • Maintain and enhance good working relationships with customers.
  • Detail-oriented, organized and analytical, goal-oriented with the ability to multi-task under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • MS Office skills (Excel and Word) and SAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Primary focus will be calling on drilling rigs and/or E&P companies to service those accounts.
  • Maximize financial results (revenues, margins, etc.).
  • Improve customer service and satisfaction.
  • Attain and exceed sales goals through increased market share, both existing and new business.
  • Responsible for business development.
  • Provide activity reports to manager.
  • Strategic Relationship Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients while identifying new opportunities within the industrial and energy sectors.
  • Technical Consultation: Act as a subject matter expert on H Pumps and VFD applications, helping customers select the right equipment for their specific pressure and flow requirements.
  • Automation Solutions: Collaborate with our engineering team to meet our customer's challenging needs when it comes to controls, integration, and full package automation solutions
  • Lifecycle Sales: Manage the full sales cycle, from initial site walks and technical quotes to post-installation service and maintenance contracts.
  • Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity to position EdgeControls as the preferred vendor in the region.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
