About The Position

Columbus Distributing Company is a family-owned sales and service corporation proudly distributing Anheuser-Busch, Yuengling, craft, and imported beers throughout Franklin County, Ohio. This position plays a critical support role within the sales team by assisting Account Managers in servicing retail accounts, maintaining product visibility, executing merchandising standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction. An AMA serves as a direct connection between the company and retail partners by helping maintain organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing product displays while supporting day-to-day sales operations.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license as a company vehicle would be assigned.
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record to be deemed ineligible for company coverage.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of outside sales experience.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office and operating an iPad.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work varied hours and days including weekends and holidays as business dictates.
  • Must have a cell phone with data capability, we will provide a cell phone allowance.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in wine and beer beverage industry sales experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in selling products and maintaining accounts.
  • Develop positive relationships with accounts.
  • Ensure correct product pricing and shelf tags.
  • Place promotional product signage.
  • Fill coolers from sales floor displays and warm shelves within legal allowances.
  • Ensure proper shelf facing and product organization.
  • Execute sales displays as directed by account managers and supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Accurately and timely enter orders and ensure proper and complete transmission of those orders following established company policies and directives via an iPad.
  • Refill, rebuild, and rotate displays as needed and according to legal allowances ensure shelf facing for our products.
  • Run relief routes in sales territories for Account Managers.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers and team members.
  • Follow company safety policies and alcohol beverage regulations.
