About The Position

The Account Manager supports the growth of liquid cooling solutions within the data center market by combining technical expertise with commercial sales support. This role works closely with customers, customer service and field sales to develop technically sound solutions for data center applications. The position serves as a technical-commercial bridge, ensuring customer requirements are translated into optimized liquid cooling solutions. This is a hybrid position located in Richmond, VA with option for remote work.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required; a background in Engineering is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering or data center infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of liquid cooling technologies, heat transfer principles, and fluid systems.
  • Familiarity with data center standards and terminology (PUE, WUE, AHRI, OCP, ASHRAE, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Technical problem-solving and system-level thinking.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong commercial awareness.
  • Strong ability to develop the offer utilizing a value-based solution.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, quotation tools, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborative approach across sales, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Strong PC, communication skills, and business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales technical support for Brazed & Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers for liquid cooling.
  • Interpret customer requirements, thermal loads, and system constraints to recommend appropriate cooling solutions.
  • Assist in solution sizing, selection, and configuration for direct-to-chip, immersion, and hybrid liquid cooling systems.
  • Review customer drawings, specifications, and RFQs to ensure technical compliance.
  • Engage with OEMs, system integrators and EPC partners.
  • Responding to customer technical inquiries related to performance, materials, reliability, and standards compliance.
  • Participate in technical discussions related to AI, HPC, and next-generation data center deployments.
  • Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and documentation in collaboration with field sales.
  • Support opportunity tracking, forecasting, and pipeline management.
  • Assist in pricing guidance, product lead times, and order execution.
  • Coordinate internally with engineering, operations, and product management teams.
  • Maintain strong understanding of liquid cooling applications in data center environments.
  • Stay current on data center cooling trends, power density evolution, and sustainability drivers.
  • Provide feedback from the market to product management to support roadmap development.
