As a Municipal Account Manager, you’ll be a trusted partner to municipal and utility customers, building long-term relationships and collaborating to solve their toughest challenges. This is not a role about making 100 cold calls a day, it’s about strategic engagement, teamwork, and driving innovation in the water industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in account management, preferably with utilities or government agencies.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to travel up to 75% within your territory.
Responsibilities
- Partner with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions that improve water management and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with industry innovators and leverage team expertise to present new technologies and products to current and prospective clients.
- Serve as a resource and advisor, ensuring customers stay informed on the latest advancements in AMI, smart metering, and water quality solutions.
- Participate in trade shows and industry events to showcase Badger Meter’s leadership and strengthen relationships.
- Provide insights and feedback to internal teams to help shape product development and enhance customer experience.
