About The Position

The Account Manager's mission is to sell new tires, retreads, and tire service to commercial customers, maintaining healthy customer relationships and growing the customer base. This role involves selling commercial, truck, and OTR sales/service, including retreads. The Account Manager will assure the highest levels of customer service by performing fleet surveys, tire analysis, mileage tracking, and other customer reports as needed. They will also resolve customer concerns or complaints as they arise, follow pricing policies to ensure satisfactory gross margins, and meet goals and sales quotas set by their supervisor. The role requires maintaining a clean vehicle to reflect the corporate image, adhering to proper telephone answering techniques, and soliciting new accounts. Regular reporting of information to Purcell’s sales management tool and protection of company assets are also key responsibilities. Embracing Purcell’s culture of safety and performing all jobs in a safe manner, along with regular attendance, are essential. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School
  • Minimum Job-Specific Experience: 3-5 years
  • Driver’s License Required: Yes
  • Proficient use of computer hardware and software (AS400, Microsoft Excel, CRM software)
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Responsibilities
