About The Position

The Account Manager is responsible for coordinating sales distribution, managing sales territories, and setting sales goals to drive growth and profitability. This role involves maintaining strong relationships with both prospective and active customers, providing marketing materials, product information, and offering personalized consultations to meet customer needs. The Account Manager analyzes sales data, collaborates with staff to assess sales potential, and monitors customer preferences to ensure effective product or service delivery. The position requires frequent travel (51% or more of the month) and a self-motivated, results-driven individual.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in manufacturing, supply chain, paint, and finishing.
  • Strong customer service skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of Power BI are preferred.
  • A High School diploma or GED is required, and an Associate degree in Sales, Business, or Marketing, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
  • The candidate must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Flexibility in work schedule and extensive travel are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with both prospective and existing customers, ensuring the health of the customer base through proactive outreach, including calls, emails, and providing marketing materials and product information.
  • Retain in-depth knowledge of multiple product lines, effectively communicating their features and benefits to customers and offering tailored solutions to expand relationships and meet their objectives.
  • Facilitate and participate in contract negotiations, utilizing strong negotiation skills and knowledge to close agreements that maximize profits and meet business goals.
  • Coordinate sales distribution, manage sales territories, and set goals to drive performance, identifying opportunities to grow business within existing accounts and improve sales strategies.
  • Build and maintain trust with major clients, ensuring satisfaction and preventing customer attrition by addressing issues, resolving complaints, and protecting confidentiality.
