About The Position

YAH is looking for an Account Manager with at least 5+ years of sponsorship and experiential marketing experience to work with the Account Leadership team. The Account Manager will be responsible for day-to-day client interfacing, development of sponsorship and experiential strategy, management of sponsorship properties, and management of 2+ direct reports.

Requirements

  • Proven track record, experience, and examples/case studies of the following.
  • Project management.
  • Sponsorship marketing.
  • Client interfacing.
  • Creative ideation.
  • Team management (minimum of 2 years).
  • Minimum of 5 years of sponsorship and experiential marketing experience, preferably with an agency
  • Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and project management skills and ability to showcase examples of this in clear written and verbal formats.
  • Expert client management and account management skills in retaining, managing and growing long-term relationships.
  • Ability to manage/execute/recap promotions associated with marketing initiatives.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite programs (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field is a must (advanced education is a bonus).

Responsibilities

  • Develop an overarching sponsorship marketing strategy based on client marketing/business objectives and desired target audience(s)
  • Evaluate current sponsorships and provide POVs in light of the new sponsorship strategy.
  • Collaborate with sports & entertainment properties to fully execute contractual assets and yield strong results for the client.
  • Develop strategic marketing plans with sponsorship assets, inclusive of activation plans, creative and content strategy, and recaps showcasing success and ROI
  • Work cross-functionally with client’s various departments and their respective agencies.
  • Utilize internal agency resources & teams to deliver best-in-class work for the client.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of and become well-versed in client business and their sponsored properties i.e., their key issues, competitive situation, and industry trends.
  • Management of team member(s) and their potential growth.
  • Assist the Vice President of Accounts with the development of annual planning.
  • Lead internal cross-functional project meetings and external client status meetings.
  • Manage departmental processes, oversee internal department accounting (billing, job codes, reconciliation), and manage internal project communication.
  • Assemble, recommend, and monitor budgets and expenses while managing realistic budget expectations for clients.
