About The Position

Yarde Metals is a world-class metals service center known for quality, innovation, and customer commitment. We are seeking a driven Account Manager to grow and maintain our presence in the Cincinnati / Southwest Ohio market. The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for customers and is responsible for achieving sales and profit objectives, expanding market share, and strengthening customer relationships within an assigned territory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; college degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of outside or inside sales experience, preferably in metals or manufacturing
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Analytical mindset with strong business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to travel frequently (approximately 70%) and safely operate a company vehicle
  • Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as needed

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve revenue and profit goals
  • Identify growth opportunities and create strategic action plans to expand business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Present product solutions that meet customer needs and drive profitability
  • Collaborate with internal teams (product managers, sales support, marketing) to increase sales
  • Actively prospect and secure new business opportunities and contracts
  • Continuously build industry knowledge, product expertise, and awareness of market trends
  • Manage customer entertainment and sales budgets effectively
  • Maintain accurate records including call reports, forecasts, expenses, and CRM updates
  • Partner with marketing on promotions and campaigns
  • Represent Yarde professionally at customer visits, trade shows, and industry events
