MRSGM NA Account Manager, Logistics Insurance
About The Position
Munich Re Specialty Group North America (MRSG N.A.) is seeking a full-time Account Manager, Logistics Insurance to join the Roanoke Insurance Group division. This hybrid role is based in the Long Beach, CA office, requiring in-office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with remote work for the remainder of the week. The position involves assisting prospects and customers with securing quotes for cargo and cargo-related liability insurance, maintaining positive relationships with customers and carriers, issuing policies and related documents, providing service to sales staff and clients, verifying billings, assisting in new business production, handling existing accounts, coordinating renewal efforts, and managing CoverageDock referrals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- California P&C producer License preferred, but not required at start of employment
- Excellent customer service skills to explain and provide our products in a prompt and accurate fashion
- Above average math skills to work with numbers and percentages
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions, problem solve and think on your feet
- Proficiency with written and oral communication. Ability to provide information in a clear, concise manner with an appropriate level of detail, empathy and professionalism
- Strong organizational skills to maintain paperwork in an orderly and accurate manner
- Ability to build relationships and work as part of a team in a positive and professional manner
- Experience in standard office programs (Windows, Word, Excel) and strong aptitude for learning proprietary software
Responsibilities
- Assist prospects and customers with securing quotes for cargo and cargo related liability insurance
- Creates and maintains positive relationships with customers and carriers
- Issues Lloyd’s policies, endorsements and renewal documents
- Provide service to company’s sales staff and clients, including proposals, special quotes, binders and certificates of insurance
- Verify insurance company billings/discrepancy reports as required
- Assist in the production of new business and handle existing accounts as required
- Responsible for coordinating the initial renewal effort for assigned cargo and liability policies
- Responsible for CoverageDock referrals
