About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for: Sourcing and evaluating potential in-flight referral partners, assessing fit with TopDog's model and client needs Onboarding new partners and explaining TopDog's underwriting, fee structure, and expectations with clarity and confidence Managing the full in-flight referral partner portfolio, tracking performance, spotting trends, and addressing issues proactively Holding partners accountable to performance standards while maintaining collaborative, respectful relationships Working closely with law firm operations to ensure smooth case flow, proper handoffs, and accurate reporting Proactively staying on top of case status and partner decisions to minimize legal and operational risk Identifying operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies, then working cross functionally to implement process improvements Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, or outcomes—not just following existing playbooks At TopDog Law, everyone is expected to think critically, communicate clearly, and take ownership of their work. How This Role Drives the Business At TopDog Law, we're building more than a team, we're building a movement. We've grown fast by staying hungry, thinking critically, and taking extreme ownership, and now we're looking for an Account Manager who's ready to do the same. You'll own our in-flight referral partner network, sourcing, onboarding, and managing the law firms who receive cases we're not keeping in-house. You'll understand our underwriting deeply, explain our model with confidence to partners, and use data to make smart decisions about fit and performance. You're proactive about spotting issues in case flow and partner performance, comfortable having direct conversations, and genuinely invested in building strong partnerships. This is a role for someone analytical, curious, and ownership-focused, someone who moves fast, gets their hands dirty in the data, and solves problems without waiting to be asked. Requirements

  • Data-driven problem solver, comfortable analyzing partner and case data, spotting patterns, and using insights to guide decisions
  • Strong critical thinking, connects partner behavior, case flow, and business outcomes to diagnose root causes and opportunities
  • Confident communicator, able to explain complex models and underwriting to partners and internal teams with clarity
  • Partnership mindset with backbone, genuinely curious about partners, humble about your blind spots, but unafraid to have direct conversations and hold people accountable
  • Ownership mentality, you own the function end-to-end, make sound judgment calls independently, and escalate thoughtfully
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and building processes in a startup environment where priorities shift and you need to adapt
  • Growth mindset, you're analytically rigorous, ownership-driven, and have the potential to take on expanded responsibility as the business scales
  • Unintimidated by seniority, equally comfortable engaging with firm partners, managing partners, or legal teams
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Three plus years of experience in roles managing performance metrics, building new partnerships, and owning end-to-end processes
  • Comfortable with spreadsheet analysis and CRM systems to track and evaluate data
  • Prior experience working cross functionally in a fast paced growth focused environment
  • Strong communication skills—written and verbal
  • Ability to think critically, prioritize effectively, and execute with speed

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of personal injury law or legal operations is a plus, but not required
  • Experience in a fast-growing or high-volume environment
  • Comfort with ambiguity and evolving systems
  • Experience in legal, professional services, or client-centric organizations
