About The Position

The Account Manager III role involves job shadowing and working under the supervision of an experienced account manager to learn technical water treatment problem-solving and customer selling fundamentals. The candidate will be assigned tasks on existing accounts within a territory to retain business, communicate with customers, and collaborate with internal teams. This position is designed to develop the associate's skills in sales strategy, customer relationship building, and technical troubleshooting within the water treatment industry.

  • Bachelors of Science; Engineering or technical degree preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience interacting with customers at all levels of an organization.
  • Experience in water treatment preferred

Responsibilities

  • With guidance, create, improve, and implement innovative sales strategies to drive ChemTreat’s position and increase share within the assigned geography.
  • Develop key relationships with customers through identifying decision makers, researching prospects, cold calling with a senior staff member, frequent follow-up, strategic questioning, and identifying customer needs.
  • Work with senior staff to increase sales and profit margin within the territory.
  • Engage technical staff and management as needed to develop retention and growth strategies.
  • Establish professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.
  • Learn to create effective proposals for current and prospective customers.
  • Communicate the ChemTreat value proposition to the customer base.
  • Over time, begin to troubleshoot technical and site-specific process issues.
  • Effectively audit key unit operations.
  • Participate in the entertainment of customers and prospects in accordance with ChemTreat’s entertainment policy.
