About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking an Account Manager I in Employee Health & Benefits. This role acts as the client-facing hub, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and carriers. The Account Manager is the primary resource for client service questions, handling administration, billing, and claims issues, and troubleshooting until resolution. They will utilize the client management system to update policies, log client meetings and carrier follow-up, manage tasks, and extract information for client requests. The role also involves preparing and delivering forms and marketing materials, and providing administrative support for special projects. Renewal and implementation responsibilities are collaborative, requiring close work with Producers and Marketing Account Executives to monitor renewals, analyze coverage needs, and prepare recommendations. This includes coordinating and conducting client meetings to present renewal options, scheduling and leading teammate meetings for implementation, and ensuring all documentation and next steps are tracked and executed. The goal is to keep coverage, service, and renewal processes moving forward effectively through attentive client advocacy, carrier coordination, and internal communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training
  • Minimum two years of relevant insurance industry experience
  • Strong client relations and communication skills
  • Service-oriented, cooperative, and tactful in resolving client and company issues
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Life & Health License or ability to obtain within 90 days, with certification in field of endeavor
  • Experience with Requests for Proposal

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and lead teammate meetings to complete implementation.
  • Ensure all documentation and next steps are tracked and executed.
