Account Manager, Government Accounts About our Team Our Academic & Government team helps our communities accelerate knowledge for a better world by helping to establish, discover and advance knowledge. We do this by turning scientific discoveries into peer reviewed knowledge, hosting the world’s richest corpus of knowledge, allowing users to unlock insights from content and by measuring the quality and impact of research - turning insights into outcomes. Responsibilities Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of customer accounts that may include major strategic customers within a geographic or industry focus. Identifies, develops and typically closes new sales opportunities. Creates demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers. Achieves revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account. May conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies. Requirements Proven Negotiation skillsets Sales experience minimum of 3-5 years Able to operate on an operational, tactical and strategic level. Proven track record selling technology and solutions with experience working in a management role desirable. Self-motivated and driven. Proven communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills. Experienced in working in a global and highly matrixed organization. Primary Location Base Pay Range: Home based-New Jersey $74,074 - $118,326. Total Target Cash Range: $113,960 - $182,040. Pay mix between base and variable pay varies based on sales role; please discuss with the recruiter. If performed in Maryland, the base pay range is $68,900 - $114,800, the total target cash range is $105,900 - $176,600.U.S. National Base Pay Range: $65,600 - $109,200, Total Target Cash Range: $100,900 - $168,200. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. Pay mix between base and variable pay varies based on sales role; please discuss with the recruiter. Requirements
