About The Position

Provides full coverage of Account Manager (AM) responsibilities during absences as assigned. This role is responsible for remotely building, maintaining, and expanding strong relationships with C-suite level (CEO’s, CFO’s, COO’s), Student Groups and other influencers/decision-makers in strategically important large, accounts within assigned geography. Accounts include, but are not limited to colleges, universities and technical or vocational schools; network partners; community-based organizations and coalitions; corporations and Service sectors (such as police and fire academies and units) within a defined geography. The AM, Float will position NMDP’s Mission for optimal access and partnership within preferred donor segments and develop deep donor insights to drive growth and loyalty. The AM, Float remotely coordinates all activities within territories as assigned in order to recruit potential donors to the registry. The territory for this position is Illinois and Iowa and requires residence in Chicago, IL.

Requirements

Strategic account selling and planning.
Salesforce, Microsoft office, with Excel skills.

Associates or bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field. An equivalent of related experience may be substituted for a degree requirement.
Minimum total of 3 years of successful account management and/or sales experience.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be available to travel 30%.

Responsibilities

Develops and executes strategies that will create access to students, employees and key contacts within targeted accounts.
Executes persuasive presentations and drives focused on the member value proposition to recruit targeted audiences to the registry.
Account Manager, Float develops collaborative partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, leading without authority to drive alignment and coordination across the member recruitment teams.
Effective communication requires marketplace intelligence, evaluation of partners’ business needs and perspective on changing dynamics within the geography. Provides sound business recommendations and demonstrate a keen ability to prioritize and execute on current and future opportunities.
Demonstrates knowledge of Cell Therapy landscape to include pathways/guidelines. Ability to articulate how NMDP partnership is important to the donor and patients we serve.
Account Manager, Float will demonstrate focused and comprehensive strategic account planning skills. AM will develop effective business plans to enhance ethnically diverse members through well-defined strategies and tactics.
Monitors and tracks performance of existing initiatives and adjusts accordingly based on sound business decisions.
