About The Position

Reporting to the VP, Corporate Partnerships, the Account Manager, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for selling radio, stadium signage, digital, print, local and in-stadium promotional rights and opportunities as well as maintaining the client relationship for the Los Angeles Angels. This is a benefits-eligible position, offering medical, dental, and vision insurance, and 401K eligibility (employee contributions after 3 months, employer matching and safe harbor after 1 year and 1000 hours of employment), as well as other benefits not listed above. This expected annual compensation based on a draw and commission structure can range from $75k-$200k. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters and based on years of experience and type of experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional sales experience required
• Experience with Los Angeles DMA
• Self-driven, motivated and results oriented
• Proven record of consistently exceeding sales goals
• Excellent formal presentation skills before small and large groups
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Knowledge of MS Office applications
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and unusual hours
• Valid Driver's License with no major infractions in the last 3 years.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Sales or equivalent preferred
• prior corporate sales experience with a professional, college or minor league team preferred

Responsibilities

• Identify prospects and take assigned leads from discovery to research phase, then profile and make initial contact.
• Expected to perform outside sales functions a minimum of 50% of the time.
• Prepare initial presentation; including specific data on each.
• Determine client objectives.
• Prepare proposals that match client objectives to package components by outlining benefits of sponsorship program.
• Negotiate sales to conclusion including sponsorship agreement.
• Responsible for selling Angels controlled advertising elements. Elements include but are not limited to tv, radio, signage, digital, print, promotions, tickets, suites, hospitality and local promotional rights.
• Sell to performance standard (quota).
• Account service on accounts as determined by the Vice President, Corporate Partnerships.
• Collections on all sales.
• Overall client satisfaction and continued renewal of relationship with team.
• Overall communication of clients’ needs and details of clients' business and expectations to team personnel.
