About The Position

This is a fully remote position for an Account Manager in Commercial Insurance, supporting Shared Services. The role focuses on account management and service during transition and growth periods, requiring applicants to be in the Eastern or Central Time Zones. The position involves managing an assigned book of business to ensure account retention and support new business. Responsibilities include coordinating day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues, and ensuring accuracy in all transactions. While remote, individuals within a 50-mile radius of a branch may be required to work onsite in a hybrid capacity. A dedicated, distraction-free workspace is necessary for remote work, and it is not a substitute for personal care responsibilities during working hours.

Requirements

5 years of account management experience
Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
Required active P&C license
Construction / contractor experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.
Resolve complex issues and ensure no errors or omissions.
Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
Manage policy expirations and renewals.
Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
Monitor accounts receivable reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting outstanding balances.
Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and any issues.
Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate needs, and respond quickly to service requests.
Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
Seek and adopt best practices to improve individual and team performance.
Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
