About The Position

Momentum is looking for an incredible Account Manager, Business Leadership to join our sports partnerships team. This position will strategically manage assigned brand partnerships connected to the brand’s sports portfolio, supporting across platform development and activation opportunities. The ideal candidate is passionate about sports, experienced in activation and partnership management, extremely well-organized, a strong communicator and excels at building relationships. Your leadership abilities and attention to detail are key elements to providing the highest quality product to our clients - on time, on strategy, and on budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4-5+ years of relevant marketing experience (some agency experience preferred)
  • Passionate about sports and entertainment
  • Experience managing/training junior team members
  • History of on-site activation with a working understanding of production
  • Confident building and managing budgets
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Able to work across multiple platforms and channels
  • Able to self-identify projects/tasks and see them through to execution
  • Collaborative, enthusiastic, resourceful and solution-oriented
  • Polished, professional demeanor
  • You’re a quick learner and you play well with others, of all kinds

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an integral member of a major financial services brand team within the agency, with responsibility for developing and managing client business
  • Manage select brand partnerships, working with clients to develop partnership strategy, and guide utilization and optimization of all contractual assets
  • Develop rapport with clients, partner agencies and sponsorship partners, troubleshooting conflicts as they arise
  • Provide sponsorship/partnership expertise and lead the development and activation of strategic solutions (sponsorship activation, event marketing, offers/promotions, and appropriate media support) which build brand equity and deliver results for the client
  • Guide cross-functional teams through the development and activation of client programs, from strategic briefs through ideation, production, and execution
  • Facilitate communication with and proposal requests from external partners/vendors
  • Deliver polished client presentations
  • Manage and track asset fulfillment across the vertical
  • Oversee the financial aspects of programs, including internal financial processes and the development/reconciliation of budgets
  • Where applicable, manage and mentor direct report(s), fostering an environment of mutual respect and partnership with on-going performance feedback and development conversations
  • Lead elements of on-site activations at key events, including items such as on-site staffing, programming and customer communications
  • Travel to various locations across the country to meet with clients or partner agencies, as needed
  • Set priorities, demonstrate proactivity, and assume a leadership role for assigned work
