About The Position

A respected HVAC and Building Automation contractor in the Charlotte, NC region is seeking an experienced Account Manager / BAS Stationary Specialist to support one of their flagship customers. This on-site, stationary position is ideal for a BAS professional who excels in mission-critical environments where comfort, reliability, and building performance must be maintained at all times. In this role, you will serve as the primary on-site representative between the client and internal service teams, overseeing daily BAS and HVAC operations, responding to comfort calls, and coordinating technician dispatch as needed. Success in this position requires technical understanding, strong communication, and a proactive, customer-focused mindset.

Requirements

  • Experience as a BAS Specialist, Controls Technician, or Account Manager within an HVAC or automation environment
  • Solid understanding of building automation and HVAC mechanical system operations
  • Hands-on familiarity with BAS platforms such as Distech, Honeywell, JCI, Alerton, or Tridium
  • Ability to troubleshoot control logic, network communication, and comfort-related issues
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to coordinate across technicians and client teams
  • Basic IT/networking familiarity with connected BAS architectures
  • Calm, proactive problem-solver who thrives in high-demand healthcare environments

  • Programming experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main on-site point of contact, ensuring all BAS/HVAC service needs are addressed quickly and accurately
  • Monitor and triage hot/cold calls through the BAS interface to diagnose comfort or operational issues
  • Determine whether issues can be resolved via setpoint or sequence adjustments, or require technician escalation
  • Dispatch mechanical and controls technicians, validating that all work is completed effectively
  • Collaborate with facilities and internal service teams to maintain continuous system uptime and performance
  • Provide consistent communication and maintain strong client relationships
  • Remain flexible for occasional off-hour assistance to ensure 24/7 client coverage
  • Perform basic BAS adjustments and system diagnostics; programming experience is a plus
