White Cap is hiring immediately for our Account Manager – Accelerated Sales Program! White Cap is North America’s leading distributor for professional contractors, supplying everything needed for construction projects including stadiums, roads, bridges, highways, and residential housing. The Accelerated Sales Program is a comprehensive, sales-specific training program designed to fast-track the growth and development of new Outside Sales Representatives/Account Managers. Participants will work closely with White Cap sales leaders in a 6-12 month program to develop the skills, customer and supplier relationships, and knowledge needed to be successful in outside sales. White Cap and its affiliates serve as a one-stop shop, providing concrete accessories and chemicals, tools and equipment, building materials and fasteners, erosion and waterproofing products, and safety products to professional contractors across non-residential, infrastructure, and residential end markets. White Cap operates approximately 500 branches across North America with more than 11,000 employees supporting approximately 200,000 customers.

Requirements

  • Operation of a company vehicle or a personal vehicle consistently more than 80% of the average work week.
  • An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in classroom, independent study, and on-the-job training to learn the White Cap’s business model, products, vendors, customer needs, jobsite environment, systems, competitors, pricing, sales approach, and selling skills.
  • Prepares and executes account plans.
  • Sells White Cap value proposition and products.
  • Learns about making effective jobsite or office sales calls by riding along with the District Sales Manager or experienced Account Managers.
  • Enters and processes customer orders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
