We’re seeking an Account Investigator, Refunds to join us. This is a remote position.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to understand, analyze and interpret medical billing documentation and data.
• Physician billing experience in one or more of the following areas: AR, Refunds, or Payments.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to understand critical issues and bring appropriate resolution through problem solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet specific goals and objectives.
• Professional exercises discretion and independent judgment in day-to-day work.
• Must be able to collaborate effectively within a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Timely resolution of credit balances by analyzing patient accounts for needed refund or adjustment to patient or insurance carriers.
• Extensive investigations into patient accounts that may or may not require refund(s).
• Utilize knowledge of all carrier types, including commercial and governmental.
• Apply high-level understanding of medical accounts receivable, using attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
