About The Position

Bentley Mills, Inc. is searching for an Account Executive for the Southwest Ohio (Cincinnati & Dayton) & Kentucky territory. The Account Executive will pro-actively promote and represent Bentley, develop new and existing Architect & Designer (A&D), Flooring Contractor, and End-User customers in the designated territory. The Account Executive will work closely with all customer stakeholders to meet the desired outcome(s) of the project. The Account Executive will develop a strategic Business Plan, in collaboration with the Regional Vice President, to prioritize customer type, market segment, and geographic focus, aimed to achieve the sales quota of the territory.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience handling a sales territory in the carpet industry or related field within the Building Materials Industry.
  • Experience with generating options, alternatives, and solutions for customers to successfully grow the business in this territory is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree or similar educational background required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Willingness to utilize our CRM platform (currently Salesforce.com) for management of accounts, contacts, and opportunity development.
  • Ability and means to travel 25-40%.
  • Proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required.
  • This position requires a valid driver’s license.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) background check in accordance with company policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of local accounts and contacts in the territory, market dynamics, and industry trends is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office & Outlook preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic Business Plan, in collaboration with the Regional Vice President, to prioritize customer type, market segment, and geographic focus, aimed to achieve the sales quota of the territory.
  • Manage their expenses.
  • Comply with safety rules, environmental regulations and all other Company Policies and Procedures.
