About The Position

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a motivated Account Executive to oversee the Camp Mabry-South Austin TX and surrounding territory. This is a unique community-based role within the Online Military Division, focusing on supporting Grand Canyon University (GCU) students. GCE provides educational, operational, and technological support services to the post-secondary education sector and works closely with GCU. The role involves helping non-traditional students succeed by guiding them through the admissions process and supporting their online learning experience. The starting salary is $75,000 per year with potential for a six-figure income. New hire training is in-person at the Phoenix, AZ campus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in credit report; if in rehabilitation, credit report must reflect current payments.
  • Outstanding time management skills and ability to prioritize competing priorities, including while traveling.
  • Clear communication skills (in person, writing, phone) and well-developed listening skills.
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed; volunteering for new challenges and taking ownership.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to demonstrate empathy.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule (including potential evening and/or weekend availability for events).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in outside business development, consultative sales, or account management.

  • Relevant industry-related professional experience (enrollment, recruiting, counseling).
  • Experience working with CRM tools.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and implementing event/activity plans for the territory to build awareness of online academic programs in education, healthcare, and business, and drive inquiry generation.
  • Shaping high-impact partnerships for the territory and executing daily work through informational presentations, calls, and emails.
  • Providing exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families, and partners on their journey to enrollment through various mediums (in-person, phone, email).
  • Championing the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
  • Using critical thinking skills to support prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process and guide them towards a successful online learning experience.
  • Extensive travel within the assigned territory.
