The Role
General Legal is hiring an Account Executive to own the full sales cycle, from qualified opportunity through closed deal, as we bring cost-effective, integrated, high-velocity legal services to fast-growing companies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of closing experience in a full-cycle Account Executive role, ideally in SaaS or services
• Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota
• Comfortable selling to founders, operators, and legal/finance stakeholders at growing companies
• Strong consultative, discovery-driven selling skills. Our sales cycles can close in weeks when discovery is done well
• Startup sales experience (SaaS strongly preferred). We care more about strong SaaS-style sales instincts than a legal or professional-services sales background
• High drive and energy, with the raw intelligence to think fast on their feet
• High emotional intelligence: a strong listener who's skilled at discovery and can reflect client needs back collaboratively

Nice To Haves

• Experience at a Series A–C startup
• Existing network among startup founders, operators, or in-house legal/finance leaders
• Legal practice experience or background

Responsibilities

• Manage a full-cycle sales process: discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation, and close
• Build and manage a pipeline in partnership with SDRs and marketing, and generate a portion of your own pipeline through outbound and network selling
• Develop a deep understanding of prospects' legal and business needs to position General Legal effectively
• Partner closely with legal operations and delivery teams to ensure a smooth handoff and strong onboarding experience for new clients
• Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene in the CRM
• Represent client and market feedback back to product and marketing teams

• On-target earnings (OTE): $190,000–$240,000, with an uncapped commission structure.
