About The Position

This role is for an Account Executive at AWS, focusing on the Not-for-Profit Financial Services sector. The position involves driving revenue and customer engagements for AWS by increasing the adoption of Amazon Web Services among financial services organizations such as credit unions, pension funds, and mutual insurance organizations. These organizations are using AWS to modernize member experiences, deliver AI solutions, and migrate legacy infrastructure. The Account Executive will be responsible for shaping and delivering a strategy focused on customer success, building mind share, and driving the use of AWS services within a defined set of mission-driven financial services organizations. The ideal candidate will possess sales and/or consulting experience in the relevant geographic market, a strong understanding of financial services industry challenges, and established relationships within the customer base and the partner community. The role requires an analytical thinker with a strong technical interest and a passion for financial services, who can develop and execute an account coverage plan with high-growth revenue targets. Strategic engagement at the CxO level, with IT leadership, and architects is critical for success.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
  • Experience developing detailed go to market plans
  • Experience building and managing a healthy sales pipeline focused on driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry (banking/credit unions, payments, capital markets or insurance)

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and market share in a defined customer base and within the financial services industry
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.
  • Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services specific to the CxO level.
  • Accelerate customer adoption.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline in Salesforce CRM.
  • Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption.
  • Manage contract negotiations.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
