About The Position

FBMM represents some of the top recording and touring artists, songwriters, and creatives across all genres of music. We are an established, highly respected entertainment business management firm with offices in Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles. We are looking for an Account Executive to join our team of talented and passionate people in our Nashville office. This is our full time, Monday through Friday position that focuses on learning the foundations of business management. We encourage employees to establish long-term careers with FBMM and, as a result, 50% of our staff have been here for more than five years. The Account Executive is responsible for delivering high-level financial and operational support to clients while representing FBMM with professionalism and sound judgement in all interactions. This role requires strong communication skills, financial acumen, leadership capability, and the ability to manage complex workflows with minimal supervision. The Account Executive acts as a key liaison between clients, internal teams, and leadership, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and exceptional service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of relevant accounting, financial management, or business management experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax projections, and reconciliation processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and maintain recurring responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must possess a high level of confidentiality and exercise independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Represent FBMM professionally in all client interactions and industry settings, always exercising sound judgement.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, representatives, and client employees while serving as the primary liaison.
  • Prepare budgets, cash projections, financial reports, supplemental schedules, and year-end worksheets.
  • Complete and review individual and corporate tax projections (including multi-state) and coordinate timely tax prep submission.
  • Oversee and reconcile hard ticket settlements, merchandising statements, royalty trackers, and commission processes.
  • Understand and review royalty statements; perform basic desk audits and related analyses.
  • Facilitate client payroll processing, new hire documentation, and maintain appropriate checklists.
  • Assist with insurance renewals, property coverage updates, and major business/personal transactions.
  • Proactively manage foreign touring considerations, including insurance and tax mitigation preparation.
  • Conduct special reporting and research projects; communicate findings clearly and concisely.
  • Maintain team workflow, coordinate support, and manage recurring responsibilities independently.
  • May oversee and develop Client Specialist team members, including training coordination, workflow management, performance coaching, and appraisals.
